Back when I started this little baby blanket for my middle daughter (last year after she was born), I had no idea she would develop such a love and attachment for blankets. She carries her blanky everywhere she goes, and she would drag it down the hallway and into the elevator everytime we left home if I let her. She doesn’t care which blanky she has as long as it meets her ‘softness’ requirements. Thankfully, I do believe that this blanket does just that, Alhumdulillah. I had initially planned on crocheting the blanket one solid colour, but then the shop where I purchased the yarn stopped carrying that particular shade. So my plans changed and I then decided to add 4 similar hues to the edges of the blanket. I think I like it better this way, anyway. Sometimes I feel bad that I wasn’t able to nurse her for a full 2 years, and that she is no longer able to cosleep with her Mama. But I hope that this blanky gives her comfort now that she is sleeping in her big girl bed in her big sister’s room, and I hope that it keeps her warm now that the cold weather has arrived.

Beautiful blanket with beautiful sentiments behind it. Looks like she is just like your older brother; always had to have his blanky. His was itchy though. Never understood what he saw in it. Insha Allah she will enjoy it and feel the love you put into it. I'll try to remember to touch it (if she let's me) when I see it.
