Yes, ALL 144 flights of stairs (1,776 steps) in 35 mins and 59 seconds!! 🙂 A. and my husband took the elevator up and waited for me at the top of the CN Tower. My husband was soooo convinced that it’d take me 2 hours to make it to the top haha. I felt soo good after that, like in a healthy sort of way.. I really need to get my heart pumping more often! 🙂 The best part was being able to help World Wildlife Fund raise money to help fight global warming. Thanks so much to all my sponsors!!!
It was amazing when I got to the top, I was looking for my husband and daughter and stepped outside to see if they were there, and I saw that it was snowing! What a spectacular sight :). I’ve been to the CN tower once when I was about 3 years old, but I don’t remember anything from that visit, so everything was sort of new to me. So climbing all the steps to the top and then being able to take in the view felt really satisfying, you know? I don’t think that if I took the 50 second elevator to the top then looked outside that it would feel quite as satisfying.
My husband was really great with my daughter keeping her busy while they waited for me to reach the top. A. loved looking out the window at the train tracks below trying to spot Thomas the train haha and kept busy by colouring and eating some snacks 🙂
Here’s A. and I looking through the glass floor to the streets below.
A closer look at the train tracks once we got back down to ground level. A. kept asking us to take her on the train :).. hopefully one day soon.
And of course what bettter way to finish off the morning then with a hug from the WWF Panda mascot. It was so funny because A. followed him down the hall after that trying to hold his hand. 🙂
